Aldi Coffee Pods (Price, Types, Quality, Roasts, Taste + More)

A lot of people rely on coffee for their daily needs. Coffee pods make it easy to make a simple cup. With the Keurig, there are many instant and espresso options.

Aldi supermarkets have a reputation for offering food and beverages at steeply reduced prices. They also include coffee pods. Let’s take a look at what you can expect from Aldi’s coffee pod selection.

  • Aldi Coffee Pods In 2022
  • Aldi offers coffee pods in their Barissimo line, which also includes higher-end products. Available in decaf, regular, light roasts and flavored styles as well, the pods also have Fair Trade options. The price per 12 boxes is $3.55.

Aldi carries what type of coffee pods

Aldi currently sells six varieties of coffee cups under their Everyday brand. Aldi labels their pods “cups” but I will refer to them interchangeably.

All year long, you will find these flavours:

Barissimo Breakfast Mix or Donut Store Espresso Cups (12 ct.

Barissimo Caramel or French Vanilla Cappuccino Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo Decaf Breakfast Blend or Donut Store Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo Fair Trade Colombian Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo French and Blonde Roast Coffee Cups 12 ct.

Barissimo French Vanilla or Hazelnut Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Additionally, I have seen Aldi release specialty flavors throughout the year as part of their Aldi Finds selection. In winter, for example, you may see a Peppermint Mocha.

A gift set of twelve chocolates featuring romantic themes was released by the company around Valentine’s Day in one year.

Pumpkin Spice is at the heart of autumn, so Aldi offers its own version.

The best way to know what’s coming to your store as an Aldi Find is to keep an eye out for their print ad, which comes in the mail, check out their digital ad via their website, or look at the Upcoming Aldi Finds tab on their mobile app.

    Are Aldi Coffee Pods Cheap?

Aldi has a consistent pricing policy that I like. The Everyday coffee cups are still $3.55, even though they come in 12 packs.

Walmart sells its coffee pods in the Great Value store. The 12-packs are $3.92 and there is more than 15 varieties.

Wegmans has their own coffee pods that they sell in store, and it’s only a couple of cents less than Walmart. They retail for $3.99 per 12-count. Wegmans sells a great variety. The company has more than 20 kinds of Wegmans pods.

Aldi coffee pods cost less than the competition, at most 37 cents.

However, there are likely to be more options at other grocery stores. I haven’t included the names brands such as Dunkin’ ($7.99 each 10) or Starbucks ($8.49 (10), McDonald’s ($7.49 10), etc.

  • Aldi pods can be as cheap as $4. $5? More? Only one coffee. Each pod costs only 30 cents

What does Aldi Coffee Pods taste like?

Reviewers have given Aldi coffee rave reviews, however, none of them has ever mentioned the Everyday coffee cup.

I don’t want to draw an unfair conclusion, but it’s likely safe to say that the taste is nothing to write home about.

You are probably buying them for the convenience and for the price. You’re fine with that! Sometimes all you want is a coffee fix to make it through the day.

Some of the seasonal espresso pods have been tried by me. It was my absolute favorite cup of coffee, and it is peppermint mocha.

Although I don’t like hot coffee much, the rich peppermint flavors and sweet chocolate flavor were delicious and luxurious.

  • Aldi placed their peppermint mocha cups right next to Starbucks K cups in exactly the same flavor.
  • Aldi has also sold milk and dark chocolate hot cocoa cups. Although the dark chocolate pods tasted good, they were not exceptional.

  • In conclusion, I feel that the Everyday pods would be acceptable for daily use, but the Aldi Finds seasonal flavor pods are excellent and well worth the effort.
