Who Makes Aldi Products In 2022? (Alcohol, Milk, Tvs + More)
Consumers are more concerned than ever about where their food comes from. It doesn’t matter if they are buying cheese, or if it was made in another country.
Aldi grocery store in Germany carries large quantities of private-label items. Therefore, it is not surprising that the origins of many products aren’t known.
Who Makes Aldi Products In 2022?
Almond Milk by Aldi’s Friendly Farms label has become a popular choice for vegans as well as lactose-sensitive people. The price is only about $2/half-gallon, while Silk can go for up to $3.
Aldi almond milk also contains no carrageenan. This additive is used to thicken liquids and has been associated with health problems.
The Friendly Farms label products come from a VT-based company called Ehrmann Commonwealth Dairy, whose parent company Ehrmann AG is based in Germany.
A quality diaper at an affordable price can be a great value for new parents.
Aldi diapers are sold at a very competitive price of around 14 cents per disposable. This is incredible when you think about the high-end brands that can run up to 80 cents.
First Quality, LLC, the company that produces Aldi’s Little Journey diapers, is known as First Quality, LLC. For baby care, they have manufacturing plants in GA and PA.
Perhaps you’ve heard of the other First Quality products like Prevail adult diapers, Plenty paper towels, or Cuties brand diapers.
Even better is the fact that these products are manufactured by Bimbo Bakeries USA.
One user on Reddit commented that this made sense, because Bimbo supplies Wendy’s hamburger buns and they thought Aldi buns tasted exactly the same.
Aldi Australia also sources its bread from Davies Bakery, a family-owned 100-year-old business. Under the Aldi Bakers Life label, they offer bread, crumpets and English muffins.
Aldi’s beer does not receive the same recognition as their wine selection but is still acceptable and far cheaper than any big brand or craft brewery.
Aldi’s beer collection also includes some beers that are sold and packaged under the brand of their actual breweries.
Aldi is a partner with Third Street Brewhouse.
The Wernesgruner Pilsner, considered by Thrillist to be the very best of the bunch, is an import from Germany. In fact, the brewery was founded in Saxony almost 600 years ago and has been operational ever since.
Brouwerij Marten NV in Bocholt is home to the Brens Lager and White Tide (reminiscent Blue Moon). The company sells its own-label beers, and partners with other companies to sell private label brews as well.
The Independence Harbor Amber Ale (a take on Sam Adams, I would think) and the Wild Range IPA both hail from a brewery called Custom Tap Brews in Rochester, NY. BeerAdvocate.com says these beers were made by Genesee Brewing in Rochester.
Ryder No. 2 is also made in the USA. Brecken Bock, Hopping Nomad IPA and 8 Blonde Ale are all brewed in Waunakee by State of Brewing, a local brewery.
Cerveza Monterrey is an import that was made at Cerveceria Cerveceria, S.A., Guatemala.
The Holland Lager 1839, true to its name is imported from Holland via Swinkels Family Brewers. They have an extensive portfolio of IPAs and lagers.
It’s hard to complain, though, when the Ben and Jerry’s dupes sell for less than $2.50 per 16 oz. A container can sell for as much as $5.
In case you weren’t aware, Aldi’s ice cream does not come from Ben & Jerry’s. Instead, it comes from Ludington’s House of Flavors, a Northern Michigan company.
Sundae Shoppe is a Sundae Shoppe product. It’s manufactured by Fieldbrook Foods Corporation of Dunkirk NY.
Many sources claim that Millville cereal is just General Mills. Mashable says that this is incorrect. The website doesn’t say who produces the Aldi generic brands, so I started digging.
Millville cereals were produced by the MOM Brands Company from Minnesota, but that was bought out by Post Holdings (also from Minnesota) in 2015.
Aldi made sure to keep in touch with its manufacturer when the merger was completed. Post Holdings packs Millville cereal and makes it bagged.
It’s not all they make. Millville-label granola was produced in Greenfield by New England Natural Bakers.
Aldi’s chocolates can be enjoyed as s’mores treats or with charcuterie. August Storck in Germany is responsible for Moser-Roth.
Moser-Roth was founded originally in Stuttgart 1841. However, ownership has changed a few times over time. August Storck KG revived the label and began producing it exclusively for Aldi in 2007.
Aldi’s Little Journey label includes many essential baby items, which is a relief for cash-strapped parents. The formula canisters of 22.5-oz sensitive formula are only $13.59.
Perrigo Nutritionals also provides private label formula for Kroger, Walmart, Sam’s Club and other retailers.
It is worth trying the Clancy’s Aldi chips. Clancy’s is the perfect choice for those who don’t want to pay more than two-three dollars per bag.
Aldi gets their Clancy label from many places.
Olde York Potato Chips of Brampton makes both the Combo snack bag and the wavy potato chips. Seneca Snack Company is Marion’s manufacturer of their cinnamon apple chips.
Some chips made from Clancy’s come from a Minnesota snack business called BarrelO’ Fun.
Bagged salad mixes make throwing together a healthy meal super easy and convenient, and Aldi sells their Little Salad Bar Garden Salads for only $1.49 per bag. Fresh Express’ bagged salads are available for up to $3.50 per pack.
But here’s what really matters? The best part? They are the exact same product. Yes, Aldi bagged Garden Salads are made and manufactured by Fresh Express, only Aldi charges a fraction of the price.
Fresh Express headquarters are in California. They have greens growing locations all around the country.
Nut lovers rejoice at Aldi’s low prices, as the fancier types, including trail mixes, pistachios, and even almonds can be pretty pricey at grocery stores.
However, Aldi’s Southern Grove Sweet & Salty Trail Mix, which is sold in individual packets of eight, costs only $2.65 for a total of 12 oz. Mix of snacks.
That snack mix comes from King Nut Company in Solon Ohio.
Kanan Enterprises has also been responsible for Peterson’s Gourmet Nuts And Snacks fundraising materials that are used to raise money by schools or other institutions.
However, this Aldi product is made by Superior Nut Company in Cambridge, MA. It was established in 1929.
Superior Nut is a serious sustainability company and Aldi was happy to partner with them. In 2013, they achieved net zero emissions in all of their business operations. This is in keeping with Aldi’s considerable sustainability mission.
Aldi’s non-dairy almond-milk frozen desserts can also be known as vegan Ice Cream. Available in three flavors, mocha fudge (chocolate), vanilla, and chocolate, they are delicious even for those who don’t eat dairy.
Aldi allows special-diet food to be affordable. You can get a pint from Aldi Earth Grown icecream for $3. Brand names start at $4.50. Prices go up after that.
The Earth Grown vegan ice cream is actually manufactured by SmithFoods, a dairy wholesaler based in Orrville, Ohio, with facilities around the Midwest.
Easy to make pesto. It is also easy to purchase pesto. Aldi won’t charge you a fortune for it. Priano brand pesto retails for only $2.19 per the 6.7-oz can. Delallo pesto, which is $6.99 in a 6-oz. jar, costs $6.99.
The Priano item in question is made by BLM Produktions-und Vertriebsges mbH & co KG, a German company. Based in Germany, they specialize in wholesale pastas and pasta-related products.
Many families are now able to purchase frozen fruits at reasonable prices due to the growing interest in smoothies.
Aldi offers a variety of bagged frozen fruit mixes under the Season’s Choice label, for $6.89 per 48-oz bag, a full $2 cheaper than even other store labels.
Aldi sources these frozen mixed fruit items via Wawona Frozen Foods of Clovis, CA, a family-owned and operated business with over 100 products at market. Wawona supplies California’s grocery chain Raley’s.
Aldi’s 5-pound flour bag under Baker’s Corner costs just $1.15 so that home bakers have a lot of options.
ADM Milling Co. makes this flour. A multinational firm headquartered in Chicago but with many locations around the world, it manufactures the product.
Bauhn, Aldi’s electronics supplier, is from Australia. It manufactures and sells TVs, tablets as well, headphones, speakers, and many other items.
Bauhn products will not be sold in the US but Australians may enjoy Bauhn televisions for as low as $1,000.
American shoppers are also disappointed that Aldi’s hard liquors don’t appear in America, not even the ones which won the gold medals at Spirits Business Scotch Whisky Masters.
The origin of Aldi’s whiskies is a well-kept secret, as it happens, but some clever (and persistent) Redditors have theories.
On a forum, one commentator suggested Aldi might buy “rejected casks from reputable distilleries”, and sell them under their own labels.
Another person said Glen Marnoch, which is near the Bridge of Marnoch, is made by Glendronach.
Aldi gets their gin from Blackwater Distillery near County Waterford.
Boyle’s Blackcurrant, Apple, and Elderflowers Infusion is named for Robert Boyle. He was born here as a philosopher and scientist.
Aldi’s Saint Germont Vodka, described as “Grey Goose for half the price”, is now available in the UK. Its origins are a mystery, despite its French name and labeling.
You can find it at Aldi as well. A Youtube reviewer bought a Tesco bottle.
Aldi sells quality tools and home improvement accessories by a label called WorkZone, and there are actually multiple suppliers across the product line in the US.
Some of these include Merotec USA and Keter.
This information can be found on Aldi’s Warranties and Manuals webpage. Search for the product that interests you and then check the manual and contact details for the warranty.
Einhell from Germany is one of Britain’s manufacturers.

It’s not always the big name companies that make Aldi products. Some believe it is. But it can be even more. Aldi has a tendency to partner with wholesalers or smaller companies, who are able to work more closely with products and provide superior quality.
Aldi offers private label shopping at a fraction of the cost.
