Computers, no matter whether they are desktops or laptops, can be expensive. You want to be able to return a costly purchase.
Walmart sells computers and laptops. Can you return electronics purchased at Walmart? This is what I discovered.
Walmart accepts laptops and computers back within 30 days from the date of purchase. Customers must return the computer to Walmart with the original packaging and receipt. This will prove proof that the purchase was made. Customers have the option of requesting a cash back or store credit.
How Long Do I Have to Return a Laptop or Computer to Walmart?
Walmart states their standard return policy as they will accept returns up to 90 days from the date of delivery or purchase for all items purchased online.
But, this is not a complete list. Laptops and computers are an exception.
You have 30 days after buying a laptop/computer (including brands from Acer, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Dell, Apple, etc.) Online or in-store.
Although some sites say you can return the computer within 14 working days, Walmart says it is possible to do so in 30 business days.

Customers must have the original packaging to return a computer or laptop to Walmart. Walmart will need the barcode on your packaging and any other details to verify you purchased the computer.
If the package is missing, it’s impossible to verify the authenticity of your purchase from Walmart.
Walmart thus does not have to accept your return. You may be allowed to return the item, but it’s possible that Walmart will not accept your return.

If your laptop or computer came with additional accessories such as a keyboard, charging cable, monitor, or mouse, you will have to return all of the accessories when returning the device.
How do I return a computer or laptop from Walmart without my receipt?
You will have an easier time returning your items if you have the receipt.
You can return the item with no receipt. However, it’s much more difficult with computers because it’s hard to prove purchase date if it wasn’t purchased using a debit/credit or PayPal card.
Many times, customers who do not have receipts will get a store credit refund instead of a straight refund.
Are There Computer Accessories You Can’t Return to Walmart
These items cannot be returned or exchanged if they are purchased.
The holidays provide an exception to Walmart’s normal return procedure. Walmart gives an additional 10 day extension for returns during November or December. On December 26th, the normal computer return policy begins again.
This means that if you purchase a laptop or a computer during the holidays, you have 15 days starting on December 26th to return it.
