Does Kroger Accept Apple Pay In 2022?
Unfortunately, Kroger does not accept Apple Pay at any of their stores as of 2022. Instead of using Apple Pay, Kroger customers can use the Kroger Pay app to wirelessly pay for self-checkouts and registers. Kroger accepts only debit, credit, Amex and personal checks as payment methods.
Kroger Pay, a mobile contactless payment system that Kroger introduced in 2019, is designed to make it easier for iPhone customers to checkout.
Kroger Pay provides a one-time quick code (“QRCode”) which will allow you to respond quickly.
Simply scan the QR code at check-out to securely send payment information from your smartphone to the PIN pad.
Kroger’s pay system securely combines customer loyalty and payment information for an easier, faster experience.
Where Can I Use Kroger Pay?
KrogerPay is available at Kroger Family of Companies in the United States.
Kroger Pay is also available in-store at self-checkout and attendant lanes, as well as at participating instore pharmacie checkouts, beer, wine and liquor locations.
Kroger Pay currently isn’t available in Kroger Fuel Centers or Pharmacy Drive-Thru Lanes.
Delivery and pick-up may require you to check with the Kriger station where you live if your chosen Kriger location accepts Kroger.
What payment options does Kroger accept
Kroger accepts debit and credit cards including, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa, just like all the other major grocery stores.
Kroger accepts cash, checks and personal checks as well as WIC cards and SNAP/EBT card.
Additionally, Kroger announced that it was considering adding other payment methods such as Apple pay, Google pay, Samsung pay, Fitbit Pay, mobile banking apps, and other contactless means of payment.
Kroger however had to end Apple pay, and all other mobile payment options.
Although the reason(s) surrounding the decision remain unclear, Kroger has rolled out its own mobile payment service called Kroger pay.
This replaces payment services like Apple pay at all participating Kroger locations.
Scann, Bag and Go: With Scann, Bag, Get technology, customers can use their mobile phone to scan groceries, then make payment via the Kroger application.
Kroger.com is a Kroger.com app. You can place orders for groceries via the Kroger mobile application. You can use your EBT/SNAP card to pay at pick-up. Be sure to choose EBT when you checkout

Kroger doesn’t have to accept Apple Pay. Other large-scale retailers like Walmart, Kmart, and Lowe’s do not accept Apple pay too.
