What is Kroger Cash Back Policy?
Kroger has a general corporate policy that allows it to offer cash back on purchases made at any of its locations across the country. You can redeem cash at registers, the customer service desk and self-checkout.
The policy generally allows for cashback up to $300 on purchases made using a debit or check card, Discover card card, or EBT card.
Please note that cashback may not be given for all payment methods. It’s best that you confirm with the Kroger nearest to where you live if cashback is desired using another payment method.

You can earn up to $300 cashback on every purchase made with your Kroger debit card
This cashback limit is the maximum Kroger has. It also applies to Kroger REWARDS Visa debit cards. Most stores will charge a $0.50 fee for cashback up to $100.
However, cash backs greater than $100 will incur a $3.50 surcharge. The applicable fees for transactions above $100 can vary from store to store.
Be aware that debit cards can not be used as credit cards when you shop.
Kroger is not able to offer cash back for credit card purchases. But, because Kroger stores participate with the Discover Cash Over Program, all Discover credit cardholders are eligible to receive cash back up until $120 each 24 hours.
Contrary to payments with debit cards there is no charge or fee for cash back. The regular interest rate for cash back will still apply.
Although cashback is possible on Discover card transactions not authorized with PIN (authenticated without it), this will often depend on the manager of the store.
Kroger stores will also give cash back if you use a personal cheque. However, the maximum cash back is extremely low. On purchases with personal checks, the maximum cashback you can get is $20
Low cash back may also be related to time taken for processing personal checks. Typically, it takes between 2-3 business days for checks to clear at the bank. This is where Kroger has no charges.
Kroger offers cashback benefits to EBT card holders. Kroger has a cash back policy that allows them to give cash back on EBT cards transactions starting at $50 up to $100.
However, you must have a sufficient cash balance through a cash assistance program like TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).

Which Items are Eligible to Receive Cashback at Kroger Stores
Not all items or purchases are eligible for the Kroger Cash Back Reward Program. If you want to receive cash back, it is important that you carefully inspect the products you are purchasing.
Kroger does not offer cash back on close-out merchandise, such as the Manager’s Special.
