Walmart may offer PTO to employees who work for more than 11.8 hours.

What Counts Toward Earning PTO Hours? How can I earn PTO hours while working on PTO
It might surprise you to know that associates may continue to accumulate PTO even though they’re using it.
Walmart provides hourly service hours to earn PTO, which can include:
- Overtime and regular hours
- You can always count on disaster to pay
- Bereavement (up to 3 days)
- Jury duty
- Increased hours of military leave
- Pay reporting
- PTO used to replace work hours
- Personal and sick time taken when PTO is exhausted
If I Work On A Holiday, Can I Use My PTO On That Day?
Walmart locations can be opened on holiday days so it is possible for associates to schedule work. Associates may have the option to take PTO time if they want to spend their day with family.
However, you cannot use PTO hours and be paid to work in the store during a holiday.
What Does a Year Look Like for a PTO Program?
The Walmart PTO Plan Year is not a calendar year. It runs from February 1, to January 31, of the next year.
