It’s easy to use your computer for almost any purpose in 21st-century life: view movies, schedule appointments, order jeans or even make new friends.
American Postal Service (USPS) has managed to keep up with the pace of this change, adopting the huge digital shift in 2000s and integrating mobility technology into its services.
Click-N–Ship service is another example. So what exactly is USPS’ Click-NShip service? You have my answer.
What will the USPS Click -N-Ship be like in 2022
Click-N to Ship allows US Postal Service customers to make and print labels online. It is compatible with a number of popular mailing services like Priority Express and Priority Express. Click-NShip can be used for free. However, postage charges are slightly more expensive than those charged by the Post Office.
What does USPS Click-N Ship mean?
I’m going to take you through the process of how the USPS Click-N-Ship service works.
There are some things you should consider before creating labels.
Is your scale handy if you make your own boxes? You’ll need to know how much your package weighs in order to print accurate postage.
You can also use one of USPS Flat Rate envelopes or boxes if your scale is not available.
One of the best things about Flat Rate boxes or envelopes is their availability at Post Office locations for free. Or, you can order them online for free.
Order them online to get them free of charge. You might have to wait a while so stop by the Post Office.
Before creating a label it is essential to know which online services can be purchased.
Click-N–Ship Labels can be made for:
Click-N–Ship labels are not available for First Class, First Class Package and First Class International. ), Package Services, and USPS Retail Ground.
Click-N Ship page will be displayed. Click the Quick Tools button on USPS.com’s main page to navigate there and click the “Print a Label” button.
The Print A Label page will allow you to verify the Return Address. Opt-in to “More Activities” and sign up for tracking notifications. You may also choose to ship from another zip.
The Delivery Address is next. USPS standardizes the address once you have entered it. This will ensure that your package is sent in the best possible manner.
Under that heading, you can also choose to send your recipient an email notification with a message and arrange for the package to be held at the Post Office for pick up.
You can then choose your shipping date, which may be as long as three days away from the present one.
The following step is to choose whether you’re shipping Flat Rate or not. You will need to enter your shipping weight in pounds and/or ounces if you don’t choose flat rate.
Last but not least, choose Priority Express, Priority Mail, or Priority Express. While the latter is more efficient than the former, Priority Express is still the fastest, and Priority mail is the only one that can ship boxes.
The next page allows you to set preferences, like the specific box or envelope type (Flat-Rate and non), printer settings, a personal reference number, or even a different return address.
The website will next take you through all your shipping information and address books before leading you to the Shipping Cart where you’ll pay and check out.
Check out allows you to choose whether your label will be printed locally at your Post Office. This is possible using the USPS Label Broker program.
It is free to use the Label Broker service. Just bring your wrapped parcel along with your confirmation email and the Post Office can print and affix the labels for you.
Print your labels on regular paper if you own a printer. You may also buy label paper from the Post Office, USPS.com or Amazon.
If you use regular paper, in my experience, it’s best to cover as much as possible with packing tape, that way important information is protected from rain or scuffs.
You can save money by labeling your boxes online. You can arrange for a free parcel pick-up online as well.
Are USPS Click-N Ships More Expensive or Cheaper?
The Click-N-Ship USPS service for similar services is slightly less expensive than the Post Office.
Click-N–Ship allows you to save cents each transaction on Priority Express or Flat-Rate shipping.
This savings won’t be significant for most people. But, if your shipping volume is high, you could see savings.
