Tesco has started to sell postage stamps since 2022. The cigarette kiosk and customer service desk in Tesco stores can sell postage stamps. For large first-class stamps, prices start at PS5.16. Second-class stamps go for PS3.96.

    Do Tesco Sell Stamps Online?

Tesco actually sells UK postage stamps through their website.

I looked at their online store and found various packs available, and the price was not any different from what you get in their stores. Either have them delivered to you or choose Click and Collect.

Tesco has what packs of stamps?

Both first-class and second-class stamps are available in packs of 6 and 12 for normal stamps and packs of 4 for large stamps.

However, Tesco sometimes is out of stock, so you may not always find all of them in-store or online.

If you’re looking for the best stamps to choose from, buying more stamps will not save money.

An example: A set of six first class stamps for PS0.85 is a package of 6. This price includes the stamps in the set of 12.

A major benefit to purchasing the larger packs is that you will have less worry about refilling.

Tesco Can Deliver UK Postal Stamps at No Charge

Tesco is not charging for items bought online for delivery at your residence. There is a minimum charge of PS4.50 for delivery. This was increased because of high demand during lockdowns.

Additionally, any delivery is subject to a PS25 minimum spend.

Regular Tesco customers will choose to subscribe to Delivery Saver for PS7.99/month. This gives you both free Delivery and Click & Pick service, plus free Delivery.

Your order must total at least PS40. Tesco has also stopped new signups due to extremely high demand.

Are Stamps Purchased from Tesco More Affordable Than Other Stores?

To see if stamps at Tesco were cheaper, I did some digging.

Tesco will not charge you more than any other shop or postal office for stamps you purchase in store. Online, however, prices can vary greatly.

Tesco is much more costly than Royal Mail’s online shop, particularly if you are buying just stamps and having them delivered directly to your home.

Royal Mail delivers the same stamps at exactly the same price, with delivery charges starting at only PS1.45 instead of PS4.50 at Tesco.

Tesco has to defend that the stamps can be delivered quicker because Royal Mail promises delivery in three to five working days. However, if you don’t need them immediately it may be an option to order from Tesco or another retailer.
