Do You Have to Return Your Makeup To Target?

Target can accept returns of makeup without a receipt as long as you have other proof.

Target can find your order online if you made the purchase via Target REDcard, Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover, personal check, or Target gift card (which you must have retained). Cash purchases are not tracked.

Alternatively, you can access the digital barcode or receipt from your Target.com account to prove your purchase if you bought the items online.

You will receive a merchandise return card if you cannot provide proof of purchase. This is only valid in-store at Target, and cannot be redeemed online at Target.com.

Can You Return Used Cosmetics To Target?

Target allows you to return slightly used and opened makeup products within 90-days of receipt. Target cannot accept exchanges for makeup items that are full-filled or empty.

The standard Target return policy also applies to defective products such as dried out makeup, i.e. With the receipt, you can return it within 90-days.

Makeup items that are open, damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange at Target since the decision is ultimately left at the discretion of the store manager.

What can you do to return makeup purchased on Target.com

Makeup purchased on Target.com can be returned to any store using any of the following as proof of purchase: the receipt, the barcode found in the Target app, Target delivery or shipping confirmation email, or the original form of payment.

Also, make-up can be mailed directly to Target Online Returns Center through Target.com. You will need to pay return shipping costs unless Target has made an error with shipping.

Please note that not all items can be returned in-store. Target.com will inform you when your return is processed.

What can you do if Target denies your return?

Target may offer a modified return policy for some items that might affect your right to a refund.

Target Online Returns Centre can decline to accept your request for return. In this case, FedEx will ship the item back to you in seven days. This tracking number can be used to track your delivery.
