It’s great that this club is Speed Injected, has Twist Face and of course the Hammerhead 2.0 but what does that all translate to for you.

Most likely, your players won’t be impressed that you are a Speed Injected Driver. Unless of course it is because you take their money.

Speed injection means they check each clubhead individually to make sure it is “hot”.

It is injected with a resin tuning agent if the clubhead exceeds the legal limit.

Twist Face technology is an innovative club head bulge design that encourages forgiveness in the right places.

TaylorMadeM6 TaylorMadeM6 M6 D Type New Gear Drivers Review

New today: The M6 incorporates TaylorMade’s revolutionary speed-Injected Twist Face tech with a new sole to create an incredible driver.

Like the M5 drivers’ M5 models, the new M6 model and M6 D Type incorporates the Twist Face technology from last year.

TaylorMade has a new Speed Injection process that ensures every TaylorMade driver is right on the law for speed. As a result, the M6 is going to offer you more ball speed and longer drives.

Now, although this revolutionary technology is one of the key ingredients to making the M6 incredibly long, the new Aerodynamic Carbon Sole Design with its ‘inertia generator’ is just as important.

The manufacturers of golf clubs look for new ways to reduce the centre gravity (CG) and make their drivers’ CGs lower or deeper. But what is a low or deep CG?

Not much adjustability

Gains over the M4 seem to be minimal

TaylorMade, following the success of their M4 model TaylorMade wanted to expand legal ball speed by producing the M5 (and M6). The TaylorMade M6 (the focus of this review) is slightly cheaper than the M5.

It promises more forgiveness and speed than previous M6 models. As a standard feature, the head’s center of gravity is low. It has more weight towards the rear, so it makes it easier to lift the ball. The M6’s centre of gravity is not adjustable like the M5, which is why the price is lower.

This is a very special head design, functionally and visually. It is noticeably symmetrical, and the rear section has been replaced with what TaylorMade are calling an ‘Inertia Generator’ – a 46g weight hanging off the sole which, as its name suggests, keeps the clubhead steady throughout the swing.

It is visually stunning. While the driver’s apparel at the base of the head is not my favorite, I found the top to be a delight to view. To create an alignment tool, the TaylorMade logo and the silver titanium strip combine with the TaylorMade circular pattern.

It was also very comfortable to hold and swing. It has a satisfying crunching sound when it hits the ground – reminding me of earlier models M2 or M3, which can only be good.

Are The Taylormade Sims Better than The M6

The M6 is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a driver with great feedback and a satisfying thud when taking dead-center shots. While the Sim series can be easier to handle and may take slightly longer, the M6 is still a great choice. The M6 also offers a draw bias model for slicers.
