What Are Eligible EBT Items Available On Amazon?
Certain health requirements must be met for EBT food products to guarantee proper nutrition for families and to keep them as healthy as possible.

Amazon, What Can You Purchase With SNAP?
For items not meeting the eligibility criteria for SNAP, EBT payments aren’t processed. Non-grocery items like clothing, technology, and household decor are not eligible for the program.
You can’t purchase certain products at grocery stores using SNAP EBT. This payment option cannot be used on Amazon.
Amazon will not allow you to purchase alcohol, such as spirits and liquor, or pet food, nor baby formula.
The SNAP benefits don’t cover household items such as paper towels, napkins, toilet paper and medicine. They also do not include personal hygiene products like makeup or vitamins.
How does Amazon EBT payments work?
To use Amazon EBT payments, you just need to add a valid SNAP card issued in a participating state as a payment method on your account.
You can choose SNAP EBT to pay when you place an order for food. Amazon will take care of the rest to ensure the transaction is valid and the EBT can be accepted.
SNAP is currently available to all customers in states except Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana and Montana.

Can You Use EBT To Pay For Amazon Prime?
EBT card cannot be used in order to purchase Amazon Prime memberships. Amazon does offer a discount Prime membership to SNAP families.
Others state programs, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Women, Infants, Children, WIC, are available for prime memberships.
Can You Buy EBT Items And Non-EBT Items In The Same Transaction?
EBT cards are available to be used in-store when shopping at local supermarkets. Restricted items cannot be purchased by check, cash or card.
Amazon is no different. You can use your credit card, debit card, or gift cards to purchase non-EBT products.
It’s easy to add another payment method to your account or during checkout.
You can also add paper money to your account at an Amazon Cash participating location.
Do Amazon Coupons Apply to SNAP Orders?
Amazon does not accept paper coupons, like the ones you clip from the newspaper from manufacturers or competitors.
Amazon does offer many of its coupons, which you can use towards hundreds of different products.
Amazon coupon codes are also available for customers who use SNAP.
You can either browse all coupons and clip them directly from the main page, or check for extra coupons and discount options when you add grocery items to your cart.
Can You Use SNAP EBT Cash Or Other Payment Methods On Amazon?
The SNAP program includes EBT funds and EBT cash, along with a credit, debit, and gift cards as well as an Amazon Cash which can be added to the balance of your account.
EBT cash, however, can only be used to buy eligible groceries items. EBT cash has more generic funds that support families.
EBT and other non-eligible products in your cart will prevent you from completing the transaction.
Amazon Offers Free Grocery Delivery for SNAP Orders
If you order SNAP EBT, your shipment will be free if the minimum order is met.
A lot of shoppers decide to get enough groceries in order to qualify for free shipping.
Non-SNAP or SNAP goods count as part of the minimum required spend to get free shipping.
Amazon Fresh and Amazon Grocery use different methods of calculating the shipping charges. Amazon Grocery customers who order eligible items greater than $25 can qualify for free shipping
Amazon Prime members receive free Amazon Fresh delivery. Certain regions in eligible areas have a local minimum shipping cost of $35.
Amazon Fresh can offer free delivery if your order meets minimum spend criteria.
