Best Audible Books
Cloud Atlas, By David Mitchell
Caitlin Moan teaches you how to be a woman
The book should be read by all women. But if you don’t have time to read it right now, let Caitlin Moran do it for you. An awkward autobiographical tale about hair removal and getting fat. She also discusses tiny pants and siblings. This will be a story that you’ll laugh at one second and then cringe the next. While this audiobook is not for everyone, it’s worth reading. Moran’s somewhat rambling voice and her use of humor to narrate the awkward thoughts of women younger than 30 years old, while also sharing some of her personal experiences will help you answer the question “What do they want?” You can start a 30 day Audible trial. Audible, owned by Amazon, is the best place to get audiobooks. The app is free and available for Android and i. OS. Or you can use an Alexa to hear your audiobooks.
A monthly subscription to Audible costs just PS7.99 Each month you get one credit that you can spend on any audiobook. You also have the option to keep the book, even after you cancel your subscription.
Calypso, By David Sedaris
You’re sure to enjoy the most one-sided conversation this year if you are a big fan of David Sedaris podcasts and books. Good luck if you don’t. This is not the book to read if your goal is to laugh loudly on public transport. Calypso presents Sedaris with an incredibly dry voice. His tale includes a journey to try to feed his benign tumour to snapping turtles, disastrous family gatherings in his holiday home called the Sea Section, and his absurd compulsion for buying useless fashion (including a bowler hat). Sedaris wrote his essays on everyday life’s weird and wonderful moments. Calypso shows his bravery with his ugly flaws. Your transformation will be complete.

I use Audible frequently for book listening. It is sometimes difficult to find the perfect Audible book for children, so it’s not always easy. It doesn’t matter if you have a clear idea of what you are searching for.
A quick tip is to search using narrators. To begin, enter a name such as Bahni Turpin and Ramon De Ocampo or BD Wong into the search box. Then filter the results by “running time.” This will make most children’s books pop up earlier in the results and hopefully help you find other books that meet your needs. What happens when you have tried every narrator you could find?
Of course you can search by author or scroll through the titles under “Discover” (using Audible’s listener categories like “littlest listeners” and “elementary” and so on). You may not be able to find titles of interest if it takes too much time.
I have compiled a list of some the most popular Audible books, either for those who’ve already tried these methods or for those who just want to jump to a list. They are in order of length to help you move easily from shortest to longest. Let’s get started!
Kaka and The Mouse
Kaka is an owl who finds a mouse in need of help. Karthik Sharma narrates this story. The run time is about eight minutes.
The Crown: A Ode to the Fresh Cut

The Case for Loving: The Fight for Interracial Marriage
Selina Aliko The Case for Loving by Selina Altko is an Audible book that children will love. This story tells about Richard Loving’s and Mildred’s fight for recognition of their marriage despite the fact they come from different racial backgrounds. It is narrated in eight minutes by Bahni Turpin. These other titles provide more information about the landmark case Loving v. Virginia.
Goldy Luck and Three Pandas of Natasha Yim Goldy Luck do not make her a lucky child. After being wooed by her mother, Goldy Luck goes to her neighbours to bring them turnip cakes. Goldy Luck becomes disoriented and trips over the cakes while they are away. Can she redeem herself? We’ll just have to hear it! Lauren Mc. Cullough’s run time is nine minutes.
35 The Best Audiobooks of All Time
There’s even one narrated by Tom Hanks.
You can’t beat the joy of having your book read to you. It could be that you love non-fiction. Or maybe you are a fan of poetry. Whatever your preferences, reading audiobooks can make it easy to relax and enjoy the story. The best audiobooks can lift protagonists and plots to another dimension with narration. You can read aloud as an act, whether it’s the whispering or the gnashing of a sentence, or the deliberate silence that separates lines of dialogue. It’s almost like company. Many people are trapped inside because of social distancing. To make company more pleasant, we compiled a list of some of our favorite audiobooks. All available to anyone with an Audible subscription. Or check out the Libby mobile app that works in partnership with your local library. All you need is a library card.
