The Super Target: How big is it?

Because they have larger stores than other Target locations, Super Target stores can stock more items.

Target store sizes are typically around 130,000 square foot, but Super Target stores have a larger footprint at approximately 175,000 feet.

The entrances to Super Target stores often have double doors, which makes them accessible for larger numbers of shoppers.

Super Targets stores have been reported by shoppers as being similar to Target’s. Super Targets sell many of the same products and aisles as Target. However, Super Targets offer more varieties.

Super Target stores have facilities that include a bakery, which makes fresh baked products, and a meat deli, so customers can select from a wide range of meats.

When Did The First Super Target Open?

The first Super Target store was opened in 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska, and was created to be the same size as a Target Greatland store, but with a wider variety of produce.

Target is the first store to sell fresh food including Deli items, meat and fresh produce such as fruit and veggies.

Super Target also offers facilities such as photo studios and banks to customers. They have expanded the restaurant options and dining options available for shoppers.

Other than that, some Super Target stores also featured health clinics where customers could purchase medication.

These new features didn’t make it to the regular Target store. Super Targets was the last place to get Target favorite items in large quantities and with grocery shopping.

Target’s Super Target logo is still visible in some Target locations, however Target has now rebranded their stores to make them all Target and not distinguishable.

Target stated in a 2015 statement that its Super Target branding would be removed from all of their stores.

The unifying brand of Target means they are no longer building Super Targets, but instead expand under the existing Target branding.
